Living Age of Anxiety

Updated: Mar 25, 2020

I visited on Saturday the 11th of January 2020. This picture was taken at the Science Gallery. I visited the Living Age of Anxiety exhibition. The title of this work is titled ‘Common Thread’. This work aimed to reflect, connect and share where I was reflecting, connecting and sharing through the use of the tapestries surrounded and engaging myself surrounded by books. This work examines how anxiety is recognised across cultures, languages and ages throughout weaving collectively a tapestry of stories, memories and experiences. The exhibition personally communicated; with me a lot and gave me so many anxious flashbacks I had during my emotional past where I have experienced anxiety myself mentally at a younger age. This work strikes me seriously on how I was an unconfident individual back then in my past. From looking at this show this; has made me think about more development ideas and explore this concept in future practice.
