Ruby Khan's collaborative upcoming virtual show
05/01/21 - 04/02/21
During the second Lockdown Ruby Khan was involved in a collaboration project; was based on her personal experiences, journeys and memories. For this project; she had worked collaboratively with Marta Betancourt throughout the lockdown; also working with her towards her upcoming virtual exhibition. Her concept for this project and her; the upcoming virtual show is titled "Embracing the unconscious & spiritual awakening". She has related to this subject personally and approached it by exploring her memories, experiences and journeys that she confronted throughout her life. Marta and Ruby; had a connection towards the work together for this exhibition linking to their personal experiences as they have encountered similar things. Ruby has some connections; although they work in different ways. Ruby explored the theme of the unconscious; which led her to develop her works meditatively with Marta. They work with the same artistic influences, the use of colour and techniques with Marta. Ruby works in an abstract and surreal style which combines well in their collaborative practice with Marta as she works with the same combination. Ruby Khan and Marta Betancourt have released out an exhibition catalogue and an Art Press Release. The exhibition is taking place virtually online on artsteps for a month from 05/01/21 - 04/02/21. This collaboration came across within their university years together at the University of East London.
